LAST CALL – START FNP Scholarships for young, talented researchers

Dear Doctoral Students,

There is one week left until the closing of the application call for the START competition of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) for young researchers (the last day for submitting applications is November 5).

The START competition is addressed to outstanding young scientists with significant academic achievements who:

• have a track record documented by publications (articles in recognized scientific journals or book publications);
• meet one of the following conditions:

1. are PhD students in Poland,

2. hold a PhD and conduct scientific work in Poland,

3. conduct research or development work in a Polish institution without having the status of a PhD student or holding a PhD degree (besides scientific institutions such as universities and research institutes, this may include other entities, e.g. commercial or non-profit organizations that list R&D – research and development – as one of their statutory objectives)

• are no older than 30 in the year of submitting the application (the year of birth is taken into account, not the exact date). This age limit may be extended under the conditions specified in the competition Regulations.

Under the competition, we award 100 scholarships in the amount of 30 000 PLN each.
