Trial Access to LeapSpace

Dear Doctoral Students,

Since yesterday (i.e., March 16, 2026), we have launched a 30-day trial access to LeapSpace (https://cib.umed.pl/en/trial-access-to-leapspace-at-the-medical-university-of-lodz/), Elsevier’s latest platform supporting the process of searching, selecting, and organizing scientific literature. During the trial period, webinars will also be held in which Elsevier experts will present practical use cases of the tool in research, teaching, and publication preparation.

LeapSpace (accessible directly from the university network at: https://www.sciencedirect.com/leapspace/ and from outside the UMED network via HAN: https://han.umed.pl/han/leapspace/) complements the modern resources already available at our University, such as Scopus AI and Embase AI, whose purpose is to improve the quality and efficiency of the research process.

Please note that:

  • Scopus AI enables fast searching and synthesis of research results, generates logical summaries, and helps identify directions for scientific development based on thousands of publications.
  • Embase AI provides access to a wide range of biomedical literature, including information on clinical trials, drug interactions, and the latest research findings, with precise search tools.

Both tools – like LeapSpace – are now an important part of the modern toolkit of researchers, clinicians, doctoral students, and those preparing publications.

Access and use:

  • All tools are available via the Information and Library Center of the Medical University of Lodz: Databases and publishers – Information and Library Center
  • Scopus AI and Embase AI are accessible within the university network after logging in with institutional credentials.
  • In the case of Embase AI, it is necessary to create a personal account (without using university passwords).
  • LeapSpace will be available as part of a 30-day trial for the entire University.
